What is IRN in Pakistan?

IRN stands for Invoice Reference Number. In Pakistan’s FBR digital invoicing system, when you submit an invoice to FBR through PRAL, FBR validates the data and returns a unique IRN for that invoice. The IRN is a critical identifier that proves the invoice was registered with FBR and is compliant. Along with the IRN, FBR also returns a QR code that encodes verification details so anyone can confirm the invoice’s authenticity.
